#13 - The Names of the Arch Angels

The Sacred Names of the Archangels Explaining the Mysteries by Matthalamew   The untangling of the Archangels Names will do much to promote a new understanding of religion and bring to baring the in-equity held against practices of the First Amendment –The Right To Your Own Religious Practices. For a long time now humanity has wondered at what role the Psychedelics have played in Religion. It is an absolutely fair question because psychedelics induce visionary states and religious experiences. Mean while books like the Quran, Veda’s and the Holy Bible are filled with people having visions and religious experiences… The correlations are too common and too self evident to ignore any longer (spiritual blindness must end -the captives must be set free- or we as a species may well self extinguish). Here is the blessed evidence – assuming you have eyes to see such great heights. *Claus –(no not Santa) If your going to try and make one of these Angel’s carry you for your for life (addiction) your missing the point – Christ brings freedom not slavery. God will meet you half way but you have to do your share! Discernment is the light needed here - discernment - you are the only one who knows you! If it ain't natural it isn't put here by God - and some of the Angels went bad...

There are four major Angels who surround God – they are called Archangels. Once there were five but as you may know – one fell... Lucifer the ‘light barer’ whose name is the “Snake Plant” or Morning Glory - whose chemical cousin is LSD. These are names folks not the actual spirits... - this isn't a way to escape - we are spiritual beings and there is an after life - we can not escape - stand and deliver... Angels were designed by God to be "Ministering spirits" - IE they are here to help us not put us on a stretcher and carry us for life. Ahem... So the four Angels who remain(ed) with God and who are here for humanities protection as ministering spirits - each have a name “plant” or “plants” by which they can be called. Don't worry they are all cool. Which of you says when your leg is broke or you "wisdom" teeth are being pulled - "no no no drugs = there is a war against them and I'm a good guy/gal - please mister no drugs! = zero!" So... Without further ado I give you -the names of the Archangels!

The Archangel Michael: Michael’s name plant is Marijuana. He is “The most prominent and greatest angel in Christian, Hebrew and Islamic lore. His name in Hebrew means “who is like God” or “who is as God.” When you smoke or eat Cannabis you are actively calling him into your temple. It is Michael who is rallying God’s angels to himself and wagging war on the “Masters of the Universe” or fallen angels who are causing such trouble for humankind. Already his fire is burning around the earth and State’s Rights are being established in Colorado and Washington to honor his name. Below are some descriptions of Michael taken from history and found in the “Encyclopedia of Angels” by Rosemary Ellen Guiley. As the "insiders" like Bill Clinton know - the first time you smoke pot you don’t notice anything out of the ordinary. Rudolph Steiner points out in his research that “Michael does not work so much for the initiate as for those who wish to understand spiritual investigations.” According to Steiner “human evolution has been under the guidance of Michael as the Spirit of the Age since 1879.” Michael’s numerical name reference is 420, his universal symbol is the Sativa Leaf and his symbolic sea shell is the Sand Dollar - why? Because it looks like the leaf like icon on a sand-dollar and its a $$ maker. “Because Michael will win the battle with the Dragon (think all that's messed up with the System and Society)…, the spiritual will more and more lay hold of humanity, and spiritual truth will take root among men.” “The Yalqut Genesis and the Pirqe Rabbi Eliezer say that it is Michael who fights with JACOB at Peniel (emphasis mine). When God asks Michael, “What have you done to my first-born son?” Michael answers, “I shrank a sinew in your honor.” God says, “It is good. Henceforth, until the end of time, you shall have charge of Israel and his posterity! For the prince of angels should guard the prince of men; fire should guard fire, and head should guard head!” -and the Anointing oil of the Holy Bible still lists the "Sugar Magnolia" in its properties. According to Islamic Lore (and we rediscovered Marijuana from the Arabs) “Michael’s wings are emerald-green and covered with saffron hairs…” Hopefully you've had a chance to look at the emerald green buds and see these saffron hairs...(ibin; 1996 pages128-130).

  Archangel Gabriel: Gabriel’s name plant is the Poppy. He is “one of the three principal angels of Christianity, and figures prominently in Judaic, Christian and Islamic angelology.” His name means “hero of God” or “the mighty one” in Hebrew. “Gabriel is the angel of revelation, wisdom, mercy, redemption and promise. He sits at the left hand of God. In the Old Testament he is named as a frequent visitor of Daniel, producing prophetic visions of apocalyptic proportion (Daniel 8:16, 9:21). Gabriel’s name is an incense that when smoked or otherwise prepared produces states of relaxation and calm – a perfect state to be in when vision of apocalyptic nature are to be encountered. I know I know... If this is the Truth who can afford it? But think of the price of not buying the truth... A long life with nothing but kids who put you in a nursing home to show for it. It's time we start going home as a people - its our birth right. Know thy self and thy Maker and you know everyone else. “In the New Testament, Gabriel’s name is given to Zechariah…” Who was the high priest of the time and was designated to burn “incense” to the Most High alone in the temple. Accordingly Gabriel says “I am Gabriel who stand(s) in God’s presence when he announces the coming birth of John the Baptist (Luke 1:26).” It is also attributed to Gabriel the angelic visitation of Mary where he announces the coming birth of Jesus - whose name will be covered another time... Hidden Manna. Opium’s milk like nature is thought to be the kingdom of heaven’s ‘land of milk and honey’ – where “milk” refers to the milk of the Poppy- After all the tide of orgasm is opiate based... “Gabriel also figures prominently in ISLAMIC ANELOLOGY, where he is equated with the Holy Spirit.” A peace that surpasses understanding is recorded in the Psalms of David. It was Gabriel who dictated the Koran to MUHAMMAD. Islamic theosophy indicates that Gabriel is the Angel of Knowledge and Revelation and to this day it is the Arab nations (Afghanistan) that produce the majority of the raw Opium for the world. “Gabriel’s is a mild and loving gaze, his gesture one of blessing.” His symbolic name is the Acanthus Leaf which is really a stylized Opium leaf and not Acanthus at all. Most ancient temples were decorated with Gabriel’s Acanthus leaves on their column capitals and are commonly called Corinthian Capitals today. His symbolic seashell is the Sea Urchin and the Thistle as well as the Pomegranate are also attributed to him. taken from the “Encyclopedia of Angels” by Rosemary Ellen Guiley.

 Archangel Raphael: Raphael’s name plants are the healing herbs typified by Mandrake. “Raphael is one of the principal angels in Judeo-Christian angelologies, accorded the rank of archangel. Raphael’s name originates from the Hebrew rapha, which means healer or doctor, thus Raphael is “the shining one who heals”; also “the medicine of God.” It is not by accident that the ancient Latin doctors titled the main storage tank of Serotonin the raphe nuclei. “He is entrusted with the physical well-being of earth and its human inhabitants, and is said to be the friendliest of the angels. He is the angel of the evening winds, guardian of the Tree of Life, and the angel of prayer, peace, joy, light and love.” According to several rabbinic sources, Raphael gave a pearl or book bound in sapphires to Noah which contains all knowledge of the stars, the art of healing and the mastery of demons. As the angel who watches over humanities health and well being – he is the perfect candidate for healing herbs, which are too many to name. Golden Seal, Garlic and Ginseng being just a few. Uriel’s name plant is Wine and spirits of alcohol. When the Bible makes reference to “Wine and Spirits” it isn’t the spirits of hard alcohol as the distiller wasn’t yet invented. Spirits means those “plants” which uplift our spirit. Uriel “in noncanonical literature is one of the most important angels, described variously as an archangel, a seraph and a cherub. The name “Uriel” probably means “Fire of God” or “God is my light.”” Uriel is easy to remember because his name rhymes with urinal – as in the song ‘pissing the night away’ or the English term ‘pissed’ for drunk with the spirits of alcohol. It is also true that “Uriel is portrayed as a stern and punishing angel. The prophet ENOCH said that he is head of the seven archangels and presides over Tartarus or Hell. Here we have only to recall the words of Peter Tosh’s song “Sinner Man” – “You drink addiction pain and laugh all along that day…” “He also appears as a “benign angel” who attacks Moses for not observing the circumcision rite of his son. Uriel served as a guide to both Enoch and Noah. In the Prayer of Joseph, part of the PSEUDEPIGRAPHA, Uriel states, “I have come down to earth to make my dwelling among men, and I AM called Jacob by name” (ibid, 195). “Uriel reveals heavenly mysteries to Ezra and answers weighty questions (in vino es veritas) about evil and justice. He serves as a guide ot the luminaries.” He also appears in the qumrun scrolls, ‘this angel is set apart as one of the four leaders of the “War of the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness,’ The human warriors are given exact instructions on who is to fight where, with weapons described carefully. “There are four subdivisions, and each is to have the name of his archangel inscribed on his shield.” Descriptions in quotes taken from the “Encyclopedia of Angels” by Rosemary Ellen Guiley pages 195-196.

The Angel of the Lord who came in the form of God’s unique Son is Lord of all of these angels – and his name is the Name. We call it the Psilocybin Mushrooms today but it was know as the Heavenly Manna to the Apostles and also as the Hidden Manna (see Revelation). # 9 - History Begins: Noah's Flood & The Sumarian Civilization

Noah’s Ark today exists at the Durupinar site in modern day Turkey.  What would you expect a 5000 year old boat hulk to look like—one which was buried in mud for centuries?  ...Pretty much like the photo’s above.  The Ark slid down from higher above in a mud flow.  It seems God has preserved the Ark under the mud and uncovered it only recently so it could be seen and researched.  Stories of a flood are fairly universal like this one from the Michoacan tribe of Mexico:

“When the floodwaters began to rise, a man named Tezpi entered into a great vessel, taking with him his wife and children and diverse seeds and animals.  When the waters abated, the man sent out a vulture, but the bird found plenty of corpses to eat and didn’t return.  Finally, he sent out a hummingbird, which returned with a green bough in its beak.”

“The team says radiocarbon-dated wood taken from the discovery site—whose location they're keeping secret for now—shows the purported ark is about 4,800 years old, which coincides roughly with the time of Noah's flood implied by the Bible.” -National Geographic Daily News.

The Worshipers of  Oannes was Sumer’s first step into history, the dilated pupils suggest the way in which they worshiped.  “The Sumerian civilization developed on the Persian Gulf, growing to strength at around 4 - 3,000 B.C.  The 'Plain of the Land of Shinar' is the territory which after 2,000 B.C. became called Babylon.  The Greeks named the region Mesopotamia (The land between two rivers), most of which lies in the modern state of Iraq.  The exact origins of the Sumerians are unknown. They entered Mesopotamia c. 4,000 B.C.

    The original homeland of the Sumerians is unknown. It is believed that they came from the east (2), but whether by sea or from the highlands is unknown. We know that they are not local people because their language belongs to an isolated language group. During the 5th millennium B.C. a people known as the Ubaidians established settlements in the region later known as Sumer (Mesopotamia) The Ubaid 'Annunaki' c.4,000 B.C.

At around 3,250 BC, another people migrated from its homeland, located probably northeast of Mesopotamia, and began to intermarry with the native population. The newcomers, who became known as Sumerians, spoke an agglutinative language unrelated apparently to any other known language. (2)

Sumerian 'Priests' or 'Votive Statues' c. 3,000 - 2,500 BC.

By 3,100 B.C. the population of Sumer had increased to the point where people were living in cities.(2)

The first Sumerian ruler of historical record, Etana, king of Kish (flourished about 2,800 BC), was described in a document written centuries later as the "man who stabilized all the lands." (2)

The early dynastic period of Sumer covers the part of the third millennium from 2,800 to 2,400 BC, and ends with the conquest of Sumer by a Semitic king of the north, Sargon I of Akkad. (1)

It is noteworthy of the student to see that the hat of the Pope, that of Dagon is in the form of a fishes head...

The story of Oannes or the “Man Teaching Fish” arose first among the Babylonians.  Of whom the Tower of Babble is attributed.  Above at left you can see the “Fish” deity who taught the first civilization how to live.  “This Being was accustomed to pass the day among men; but took no food at that season; and he gave them an insight into letters and sciences, and arts of every kind.  He taught them to construct cities, to found temples, to compile laws, and explained to them the principles of geometrical knowledge.  He made them distinguish the seeds of the earth , and shewed them how to collect the fruits; in short, he instructed them in every thing which could ten to soften manners and humanize their lives.  From that time, nothing material has been added by way of improvement to his instructions…”  -Hall, 1988: LXXXIV.  Yet as you see, once “Eve” was tricked by those seeds of iniquity she led “Adam” or mankind away from the Golden Teacher—that Spirit behind the ‘Hand of God.’ See "Years Go By," Neil Finn.

Research has show that Civilizations formed around Religion, but Religion itself formed around Psilocybin.  .  The Sumerian’s, priest-historian Berossus left to us an account of Oannes, the half-man, half-fish you see in the above Sumerian clay seal.  Oannes was said to have the gift of writing, sciences and every kind of art.  It was Oannes who taught the early inhabitants of Mesopotamia the arts of civilization.  The fish stands by the tree of life over which the crescent moon and an eagle winged set of three deities reside.  Behind the talking fish rise the symbols for the Blue Lotus and the Poppy.  The Pope still wares the fish headed hat called the hat of Dagon. 

Many of the practices of and beliefs of Sumer were passed to the Babylonians and Assyrians then through contact and deliberate borrowing to the Hittites, Phoenicians and finally to the Greeks.  Some like the hat of Dagon have come down to reach us today others have not but are being uncovered.

Psilocybin was displayed at the palace of Ashur-nasir-pal II at Nimrud, in the 9th century BC. In ancient times the city was called Kalou. The Arabs called the city Nimrud after the Biblical Nimrod.  The first mention of Nimrod is in the Table of Nations. He is described as the son of Cush, grandson of Ham, and great-grandson of Noah.  A great builder, a Mason which in French means ‘the sons of light’ -but which light?   Notice this Tree of Life’s Scallop shelled fountain head with the pearl of ‘great worth’ within.  Jewish tradition and artwork will later include these keys as well some of the Mystery Schools history such as the Jewish month of Tamuz…

Ashur, son of Shem was one of Noah’s nephews. The Assyrians traced themselves to the god-ancestor Ashur and the city he founded by that name on the Tigris. In Plato's Euthydemus, Zeus, Athena, and Apollo are called his 'gods,’ 'lords and ancestors'.  Pay close attention not only the the scallop laced fountain of life but also the head dresses of king Ashurnasirpal II—it is the ‘mortar and pestle’ used to crush the head of the serpent—literally the Morning Glory seeds.

 

We’ve all heard the story of the Golden Calf, but few have heard why the Golden Calf was the image most recognized in the raw golden lump pulled from the furnace.  Here we see the causal links of association in this Assyrian artwork.  The human mind we it tries to discern the origin of the Sacrament Psilocybin, quickly deducts that it has no visible seed and not much in the way of roots.  So where does it come from?  We’ll it comes from the cow pie or horse dung, but the cow pie specifically produces the largest and most stately of the 184+ species of Psilocybin.  So then the reasoning mind (not being satisfied with “the divine mushroom of manure”), realizes that it is the Cow that produced the dung which produced the mushroom.  While that certainly contributed to why Cow’s were holy in India, it was the next step of reasoning that led to the golden calf idol…  The origin of the Cow is the calf, there was no earlier traceable material source for this magical golden manna that the Jew’s were all baptized into at the crossing of the red sea…  Thus through human reason we failed to know the source—the hidden God and worshiped instead the Golden Calf.

The Fall of Ancient Babylon. In 539 BCE (540 BC), the kingdom of Babylon was invaded in one night when Cyrus dammed up the river Euphrates, this dried up the Euphrates river and the soldiers entered the city under the walls and conquered the empire. He placed Darius the Mede as the ruler.

The Largest Army. Before the Greeks conquered Persia, Darius III assembled the largest army ever created to try and stop the progress of the Greeks (over 1,000,000 men from 40 different nations). He was still defeated by Alexander, who had no money and only 35,000 men, in the Battle of Arbela (also known as the battle of Gaugamela). Alexander was only 25 years old. The independent, warring Greek states allied themselves to fight for their freedom.

Too few have studied history, but if they had they would find that like our age, it is full of betrayal and failure to learn the lessons of history.  Among the Persians there came to be a king who had a son (Cyrus) that in a dream deposed him.  This king had the new born son disposed of by his first in charge.  The first in charge however gave the boy to a Shepard to keep.  When the king discovered this he secretly had the capital man eat his own child.  Later this Persian General turned on the king and joined the army of the Medes led by Cyrus.  It was this Cyrus that freed the Jews from captivity and according to his experiential spirituality with God, he was told to provide the means to rebuild the holy temple at Jerusalem which he did.  God has said that he raised up Egypt so that all the world might know His Name.  What does a pyramid with a long white walkway leading up to it look like?  Or what do fish and mushrooms have in common?  Scales, gills and dependence on water...  Next we will step into ancient Egypt and see where the path leads.

# 5 - Andean Cultures: Paracas, Nazca & Mocha

The Peruvian cultures had an intimate knowledge of the sacrament Psilocybin.  Paracas and Nazca peoples depicted flying peoples with mushrooms in their hands.  Interestingly the two cultures shared the bird head band, symbolic of spiritual fight.  Notice that the far left Paracas artwork hold a blue capped gold stemmed mushroom.  Notice also that the figures feet are those of a Jaguar.  Directly at left is a golden statue of the Peruvian Moche culture.

The Moche culture lived in the Peruvian mountains and left for us a rich cache of sacramental art.  Here we have a drinking vessel that was no doubt filled with the crushed seeds of one of the two Morning Glories.  The seeds were plentiful and easily transported, the Franciscan missionaries were beside themselves in regards to this fact.  This vessel uses the handle spouts as the flowers design while the tendrils signify that it is Morning Glories.  The Humming bird is one of two creatures that frequent these species of Morning Glories, the Butterfly is the other closely associated symbol for Morning Glories.  

The Moche like the Olmec, were well aware of the Amanita muscaria mushrooms as well.  So, naturally artwork remains from each culture showing is sacramental use.  Amanita muscaria is a tricky species to use and it isn’t recommended.  It is said that the active ingredient ibotenic acid in Amanita muscaria must be transformed by heat or possibly drying into Muscimol in order for the experience to be a mystical one.  Our research has shown that the state produced by these mushrooms when properly prepared is very like the description and nature of Star Trek’s Mr. Spock’s.  The heart, or empathetic nature dies for the duration of the experience and pure cold logic prevails.  Nothing like the nature of empathetic heart overflowing Psilocybin, save perhaps in its intensity and in the canyon like follow of depth of thought.

# 1 - Start Here: The Three Main 'Cultural Universal' Psychedelics - A Review

The Truth is said to set us free.  Free from what?  Hate, fear, war, violence, oppression.  Instead of looking at all the differences we have and all the reasons why Religions can not get along - lets dig into history and see what they all have in common.  Surely this will bring us together in a world that has no peace.  We must start with the three Cultural Universal Psychedelics: Psilocybin, Amanita muscaria & the LSD-like Morning Glories.  Below is a picture of the largest and most commonly found Psilocybin mushrooms - Psilocybe cubensis:

Psilocybin mushrooms have a profound number of associated symbols throughout human history, many of them are still popular in modern culture.  From left to right we have the Lily Cross, made up of for joining lilies—the Lily being an exoteric symbol for Psilocybin.  God Himself, aside from claiming the title of “I Am” what I am, claimed that He “was the Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valleys” -Song of Songs.  The Fleur-de-lis, symbol of the Saints, goes marching back much further than France or Freedom Fries.  As mentioned in ColdPlay’s “Us Against The World” - who doesn’t want to be there when the ‘lightning strikes and the Saints Go Marching In?’  The Golden Apple also is traced back to Psilocybe mushrooms as is discussed in the Greek traditions.  The Circumpunct is probably the oldest universal symbol for the cap of these wondrous mushrooms, seen in ancient Hebrew art as well as Buddhism and the Mystery Religions.  Jesus, for whom a great body of Christians died and were martyred was traditionally (though very privately) held to be the Eucharist “my body is real food and my blood is real drink.”  Honey too was a traditional medium for preserving Psilocybin and also a profoundly common way of eating these potent mushrooms.  Honey esoterically became symbolic for Wisdom.  The Capstone on the back of the one dollar bill has been debated over for some time.  Its design is traced back to Free Masonry and the Mystery religions, yet the original Great Pyramid is missing its Capstone and Jesus was called the Capstone…  Old fashion keys were made with the cross section of a mushroom cap in their handle and Psilocybin having the power to unlock the doors to the kingdom of heaven within deserves this title too.  The Scallop shell when properly represented is symbolic of these sacred capstones as well as with Venus/Love and the Morning & Evening Star.  The Jewish, Arabic & East Indian “Hand of God” the Chamsa and Hamsa respectively are derived from this same Philosophers Stone.

Amanita muscaria like Psilocybe Mushrooms and the Morning Glory Family has been given lots of names and titles.  Some of the major names associated with this mushroom are “The Red Bull of the Mountain,”  “The Red Dragon” which in Chinese tradition has reindeer antlers.  “Santa Claus,” the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and via goddess worship  is linked to both the constellations of Taurus & The Venus of Willendorf.”

Among the ancient East Indians, the use of Amanita muscaria arrived and took hierarchical form when the Aryans showed up in the Indus Valley.  The Caste System was set up with the Brahman's, ritually using the “Red Bull” and suppressed the Dravidian peoples under their lordship.  The age of Taurus is one of the twelve zodiac signs of Astro-theology.  Roughly from 4000—2000 B.C., the age of Taurus saw a proliferation of Bull symbolism, from the Pharaoh Narmer who was represented as a bull to Sargon, conquer of Mesopotamia and the triple bull horn crown.  The energy or spirit behind Amanita muscaria is shockingly logical, it hold no detectable emotion.  Tied to the Siberian tradition of Reindeer, the Asiatic Red Dragon still has the antlers related to the custom of consuming the flesh of reindeers intoxicated with A. muscaria.  Saint Nicholas, with his red and white outfit and flying reindeer surely come for this custom though they are thought to be much later.  A ‘red nose’ after all is associated with “wine and spirits.”  The fact that Satan, lord of the flies is called the Red Dragon in Revelation works well with very old Christian customs that depict Amanita muscaria as the forbidden tree.  In Neolithic times, goddess worship became popular and among certain ‘brotherhoods’ the ‘V’ symbol is know to represent the five stages which lead us back to this pre-deluge state.  The Venus of Willendorf was once painted all red and the head has the look of A. muscaria.

The symbolism surrounding the LSD like Morning Glories is vast and many of its icons are universal.  Above we have just some of these archetypal images, from left to right Hunab Ku—the Mayan deity whose symbol is the combination of the morning glories light and dark circular flower with butterfly antenna and the donative's spiral tendril.  The Feathered Serpent or winged dragon, the humming bird and butterfly were more commonly Mesoamerican associations while the Unicorn was an East Indian association as the Morning Glory Argyreia nervosa.  It was the Unicorn’s magical spiral horn that created this association. Uni-corn or grain of oneness.  The Conch shell was universally used to symbolize the Morning Glories both because its flower looks like the spiral conch and because when you cut its “horn” off there the tendril shape appears.  The snake eating its tail also crops up as an occult symbol for the Morning Glories, most like because of associations with the earliest secret societies “the Brotherhood of the Serpent” & the “Brotherhood of the Dragon.”  -See Bill Cooper’s Mystery Babylon series for details.  The Spiral and the Serpent are very much universally associated with the hallucinogenic Morning Glories and if in fact the “serpents head which is crushed” in Genesis is a subtle revelation that it was the spirit of Morning Glories that seduced Eve—then the circle is complete.  For you will see that the Mortar and Pestle is used universally to crush the heads/seedpods of what the Aztecs called “The Green Snake Plant.”

Now you have every thingyou need to know about the three Psychedelics which most impacted Religion and by doing so History.  Each Psychedelic had a variety of symbolic representations which were used to create a more or less universal symbolic language.  Those who spoke the language either belonged to the Mystery Schools (a shady group), Priests (such as in ancient Israel) or were initiated by these Sacraments themselves.  Now we begin the journey of examining human history in light of this knowledge to the ends that we can determine what the nature of these spiritual tools by their teachers and culture values.  Surely someone will bring up cultural relativism here, but I assure you human motives are the same world wide.  Heart's cut out on alters are not a good sign.  Let's begin with the Mesoamerican histories...
